The MEDUSA Summer School is a fully funded, 3-day immersive experience in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where participants will engage in discussions, workshops, and activities focused on:

What to expect

The MEDUSA Summer School combines interactive discussions, hands-on workshops, and collaborative activities. Preliminary programme* provides an overview of the topics that the participants will engage in:

Day 1

Understanding online gender-based violence

  • Introduction to the dynamics, forms, and impacts of online gender-based violence.
  • The role of identity and intersectionality in shaping experiences of online discrimination.
  • Media representations of online gender-based violence and their impact on public perception.
  • Digital safety strategies and how to report online violence effectively
Day 2

Advocacy and activism

  • Recognizing signs of online gender-based violence and supporting victims.
  • Using digital platforms for activism and advocacy to combat online discrimination.
  • Developing action plans for digital advocacy.
Day 3

MEDUSA Hackathon – creating solutions

  • A collaborative Hackathon, where teams develop creative solutions to address online gender-based violence.
  • Final presentations of projects, where teams showcase their ideas.
  • Awards and certificates ceremony.
